Ok, maybe not a must have but we know how much time you spend in your truck and this app is just cool. If you’ve ever spent any of the long hours on the road listening and maybe even singing along to the radio you will appreciate this App. This is basically how it works: you hold your phone up to the radio or source of music that you want to know the title of and the App will attempt to identify the name of the song for you.
SoundHound describes their technology as “breakthrough SoundHound technology searches sound against sound, bypassing traditional sound to text conversion techniques even when searching text databases. SoundHound has resulted in numerous breakthroughs including the world’s fastest music recognition, the world’s only viable singing and humming search, and instant-response large scale speech recognition systems.”
